It'll feel flimsy without cards. That's the point — Horween horsefront is so soft it barely knows it's a wallet until you put cards in it, at which point it securely pinches your cash and doesn't let go.
Horizontal cash slot center, two card slots in front, two behind. 4–12 card capacity. Now in three sizes for world currencies:
- Small (68mm): US & Australian dollars
- Medium (72mm): Canadian, Swiss, Israeli, Russian
- Large (78mm): Euro, GBP, NZD, Yen
Note on monogramming: skip Mustang Black or Predator Burnt Orange — subtle leather, subtle engraving.

In general, we are subtle with our personalized engravings & monograms. Smaller products receive smaller monograms, and any personalized messages are hidden where the owner can see them but they are not 'out in the open' whenever possible. If you have specific preferences for any customized engravings, make a note in the special instructions section after selecting your options and we'll contact you to verify after your order.

90mm wide x 68/72/78mm tall (height taken to top of credit cards when loaded into slots). Approximately as wide as a credit card, and as tall as the largest bill it's sized to fit.

Update 1: March 2018 Redesign, similar aesthetics/size, better card coverage/stability, new colors
Update 2: May 2019 Complete redesign, larger capacity, smaller size, better cash & card holding with larger number of cards. Moved 3rd slot to rear & converted to more 'pouch' style for added capacity.
Update 3: February 2020 Redesigned yet again. Smaller size, added 4th card slot in lieu of pouch, 'angular' card slots, same capacity as previous.
Update 4: April 2021 Redesigned, added international versions.

We make everything by hand in Orlando.
As to the leathers we use: The super short answer is Horween Leathers in Chicago, and because we're leather geeks we want you to know exactly what you're getting--it's so much more than just the color of the leather.

Love it! Lightweight and functional. Little concerned about the long term quality of the leather but time will tell.
An ingenious design, invitingly useful and flawless craftsmanship. I love the wallet.
However, perhaps the most notable accolade is the customer centric nature of the company. When I first took delivery of my Sidestep Wallet I noted the nose of the leather to be somewhat reminiscent of a campfire., I texted Form-Function-Form's customer service and in less than 5 minutes had a reply describing the laser cutting process used to cut the leather, which leaves a burned odor with the hide. The customer service representative explained that my wallet had been shipped immediately after it had been made and the odor I'd noted would dissipate within a couple of days, allowing the natural nose of the leather to come through. It has done so and I am very pleased with a great wallet. Many thanks to Form-Function-Form!
By far the best wallet I’ve owned. Quality is incredible, very satisfying to carry. Find myself taking it out just to check it out.
If I had to nitpick, it would be the cards sticking out in the inner slots. They make me a little nervous for the longevity of my cards, but 3 months in and there’s no significant damage. Would love to see a version that covers the cards more, still the best wallet I’ve ever owned.
10/10 would buy again.

a little tighter than i though it would be, but i'll get used to it. i guess it has to be that way so things don't slide around if only lightly loaded.
also, the leather color is significantly darker than the pictures, which i like. i was a little concerned about ordering the other orange b/c of how bright/light orange it looks in the photos, so i went with this one.
if the other orange is anything like this one, it's much darker like in the video. b/c of my uncertainty with the accuracy/lightness of color in photos i went with the darker one.
overall i'm very satisfied
This is perhaps the cleverest folded piece of leather you'll ever see. 4 card slots enclosing a cavernous cash space. Shake it, it'll never fall out. The leather quality is exquisite, and the bulid quality is almost a piece of precision engineering. The customer service is instant and amazing, understanding and thorough. Trust me, you'll want more FFF once you've got one FFF...an FFF-load!
